The fine folks at Walker Books are running a neat new competition for illustrators based on their awesome graphic novel, "Salem Brownstone: All Along The Watchtower" by John Harris Dunning and Nikhil Singh. You can win a signed copy of the book, have your artwork featured online and get your own comic workshop with John, the book's artist.

All you have to do is draw your own interpretation of a character from the Salem Brownstone book by April 1st. The full details of the competition, including where to submit your entry, are after the jump. Also, this review of the book from Forbidden Planet is definitely worth checking out, and includes some more of the awesome artwork from the book.

Enter The Young Muslim Writers Awards...

 The Young Muslim Writers Awards is (you might be able to guess) a  competition for young Muslim writers in the UK! They're looking for submissions of either short stories or poetry, and the deadline is soon - February 26th. There are three different age groups, although the upper age limit is 16, and the word limit is 3,000 words (either for one story or up to three poems together.)
